Meet Annette Johnston
Annette is an experienced Pharma and Medical Device Operations Project Manager. She started out with a B.S. ChE from University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. She is a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and is currently serving as the Chair of the Research and New Technology Committee. She has served on the AIChE Board. As a licensed Chemical Engineer, she worked on equipment and facility installations and validations, operations continuous improvement, and product launches.
She achieved her Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications while working on projects to reduce safety stock in biologics manufacturing, and launching up to 20 in vitro medical devices in one year.
She is a certified AI Assisted Consultant. She uses her Six Sigma background in change management and continuous improvement to implement impactful and manageable approaches to adopting AI tools as standard practice in an organization.
I had the privilege and good fortune to work with Annette as our project manager on a challenging biologics development project. Her sense of ownership, leadership, and support were critical to getting our project back on track. Annette helped define the road map and kept the team focused on the right actions to meet our milestones. Any team would be lucky to have her guidance and drive on their side. Annette joined my team as a consultant during a challenging period where we were short in resources and lacking senior & experienced Program managers to take complex projects involving multiple sites. As soon as Annette joined she established confidence within the project team and with the client.
